JUNIOR LEGION OF MARY

Who? Students in grades 3-8

What? Junior Legion of Mary! The purpose of the Legion of Mary (LOM) is to increase holiness of each member through prayers and “works.” A “work” is performing an action which is needed with an inner intention of performing it as part of the Legion of Mary. We will have a snack and short time to socialize. At about 3:35, we will begin the meeting with the rosary. Then, we will continue with the meeting agenda, which includes a report of each member’s “works.”  Dismissal is around 4:40.  The spiritual director of the Junior LOM is Father Vogel. The president is a member of St. Columbkille’s adult LOM, Cathy Badura. Older students are elected as vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. A student becomes a member by deciding to attend the meetings as regularly as possible. All students (and any parents!) are welcome to attend a Junior LOM meeting as a visitor at any time. Students may choose to become a member later in the school year, as well. Please contact Cathy Badura at 402 677-5688 if there are any further questions, or if you would like to volunteer
